Experiencing the love of God is truly awe-inspiring. The Creator of the universe—the all-powerful, all-knowing God who exists beyond time—loves us personally and intimately. Yet many of the Bible’s greatest revelations about God’s nature are presented subtly, almost understated, even though they point to truths far more overwhelming than we often realize.
God’s Power Displayed in Creation: “He Made the Stars Also”
Genesis 1:16 contains one of the most breathtaking yet understated phrases in all of Scripture: “He made the stars also.”
In just five simple words, the Bible references God’s creation of:
Trillions of stars
200 billion to 2 trillion galaxies
The entire observable universe
This brief statement showcases the unimaginable power of God—power so great that the creation of the cosmos is mentioned almost casually. Highlighting this truth helps us grasp the enormity of who God is.
God’s Ways Are Higher: Understanding Isaiah 55:9
Isaiah 55:9 declares:
“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”
This verse reveals the infinite gap between human understanding and divine wisdom. Just as outer space stretches beyond comprehension, God’s thoughts and ways rise vastly above ours. His perspective is limitless, while ours is bound by time and human experience.
God Exists Outside of Time: The Eternal Perspective of the Creator
One of the most profound truths about God is that He is not limited by time. God experiences the past, present, and future simultaneously. What is unknown to us is already known to Him.
Because He exists outside of time:
God can speak of future events as if they have already come to pass.
Nothing surprises Him—He sees every step of our journey at once.
He can prepare us for future challenges long before we face them.
This eternal perspective gives believers confidence. When God directs us, He does so with full knowledge of what lies ahead.
A Personal Testimony: How God’s Eternal Knowledge Guided My Life
One reason I strive to follow God’s will is because His timeless perspective allows Him to prepare me for the future. As I share in my book, God revealed details about my future wife long before we met—including that she would not yet have children.
This revelation gave us hope during difficult fertility treatments, where doctors estimated only a 2% chance of conception. Yet God’s word prevailed. Today, we are blessed with two biological children, living proof that God’s promises overcome human limitations.
God Knows Our Thoughts Before We Think Them
Another awe-inspiring aspect of God’s nature is His perfect knowledge of our inner world. God alone:
Knows our thoughts before we think them
Understands every intention of the heart
Sees the thoughts of every human who has ever lived
Knows the minds of angels and spiritual beings
Angels may whisper thoughts or influence ideas, but they cannot truly read our minds. Only God has complete access to the human heart.
Why Our Thoughts Matter: Living With a Spiritual Mindset
Philippians 4:8 encourages believers to focus on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable. This command matters because:
We are spiritual beings living in physical bodies
Our thoughts shape our spiritual health and relationship with God
What we meditate on influences how we live, feel, and respond to life
When we remember our eternal identity and the God who knows us completely, our mindset shifts. We begin to see life through the lens of faith, purpose, and spiritual clarity.
Seeing God More Clearly Transforms How We See Life
Understanding who God truly is—His power, His presence, His eternal nature, and His intimate knowledge of us—reshapes how we view ourselves and the world around us. We were created for a relationship with a God beyond comprehension, yet deeply personal.
When we meditate on His greatness and align our thoughts with truth, our lives move into a deeper, richer relationship with Him.
